Why prn?

Why is prn the right choice to provide consultation and training for organizations seeking help with the continuing education of health professionals?

It's simple: leadership, expertise and experience. That's the prn difference.

Leadership

For more than 30 years, Dr. Green has provided consistent leadership and quality service to the CME community. He chaired the Alliance for CME (ACME) Annual Meeting and served on the groups board of directors for 10 years, two years of which were as president. In addition, he was elected to a two-year term as the medical school representative to the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Educational Affairs.

While at Duke University, Dr. Green helped create the first CME Leadership Conference to train the next generation of CME leaders. This conference grew out of Dr. Green's experience at Duke and Sharp HealthCare where he initiated Physician Executive Leadership programs in collaboration with health care organizations and top business schools across the country.

Dr. Green developed the inaugural workshop on understanding the ACCME accreditation process. For more than two decades, Dr. Green has worked within the CME community to help individuals and organizations better understand the CME process. Having received countless awards, Dr. Green is nationally recognized as one of the most well-respected leaders in CME today. In his three decades of service in CME, Dr. Green has served in multiple leadership positions within CME organizations, including:

  • Associate Dean of CME - Duke University School of Medicine

Expertise

Dr. Green earned a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Adult Learning from the University of Illinois. In the years since, he has edited and authored two books on the continuing education of health professionals and numerous journal articles and book chapters about linking CME to quality of care and physician performance, accreditation, strategic leadership and the educational process.

An expert lecturer and guest speaker, Dr. Green has delivered hundreds of talks to his colleagues and physician groups on adult learning principles, needs assessment, instructional design, evaluation and strategic educational leadership.
